Expert Drain were in Rathfarnham Dublin 16 on the Southside of Dublin this week, attending to a blocked kitchen drain. The householder was complaining of a strong smell possibly coming from the kitchen sink.

Our drain engineer lifted the kitchen gully drain cover to see if they could find a drain blockage or the cause of the home owners complaint. The gully was found to be completely blocked up with grease and fats which was causing the bad odour to go back up the kitchen waste and disperse into the kitchen and dining room area.

The best and most efficient way to clear the blockage would be to approach it with our high pressure water jetting equipment to clear it downstream to the property. After the blocked drain was cleared our engineers cleaned and disinfected the area and left it in a safe and tidy condition.
